But instead, you find yourself:

  • Saving tutorials
  • Thinking about painting
  • Wanting to paint…

…and not actually doing it as often as you’d like.

Sound familiar?

The problem isn’t your motivation...

It’s that you’ve never had a simple, repeatable way to show up and paint.

That’s what The Studio is designed to give you.

Introducing:

THE STUDIO

A watercolor-focused, landscape-inspired space to help you:

🎨paint more
🖌️improve naturally
⭐and grow into your own style

…alongside other painters doing the same.

The real reason you’re not painting consistently ...

It’s not because you don’t care.
It’s not because you’re not motivated enough.

It’s usually much simpler than that:

  • You don’t know what to paint
  • You overthink your reference
  • You wait until you “feel inspired”
  • You end up painting… less than you want to
  • You paint in isolation without likeminded friends

What changes everything

 👉🏻When you remove that friction…

👉🏻When you don’t have to figure out what to paint…

👉🏻When you see other people showing up…

👉🏻When you have a simple rhythm to return to…

You start painting more.

And when you paint more ...

🖌️You improve

🖌️You gain confidence

🖌️You start finding your own style

🖌️A consistent painting practice evolves easily

How THE STUDIO Actually Help You Paint More Consistently ...

It comes down to a 4 SIMPLE STEPS:

Introducing:

The Studio

formerly the ipaintedthat challenge

A watercolor-focused, landscape-inspired space to paint consistently, explore creatively, and grow into your own style - alongside other painters.

This is your place to come back to your practice.

JOIN THE WAITLIST

Step 1: Get a weekly reference

Each week, you’ll have a Studio Challenge

⭐a reference photo to paint

This removes the biggest barrier: “what should I paint?”

And when you’re not stuck deciding…

you’re much more likely to actually start.

Step 2: Paint it

Sit down and paint - that’s it!

Regardless your skill level, do your best. Keep it simple. Finish it as best you can.

Some weeks you’ll have more time than others. Some weeks you might not get to it at all - and that’s okay!

👉 What matters is that, over time, you’re showing up more often.

Step 3: Share and engage

This is where things really start to shift!

When you share your work:

🖌️ you build confidence
🖌️ you start to see your progress
🖌️ you realize every painting is different - and that’s a good thing!

You also get to:

🎨 see how others approached the same reference
🎨 learn from different styles and choices
🎨 feel inspired to keep going

And there’s a natural sense of accountability and community…

which makes you more likely to keep painting!

Step 4: Repeat

That's it! A simple rhythm:

paint → share → repeat

🖌️ you paint more
🖌️ you get better

And there’s always more to learn -
that’s exactly what The Studio supports.

Sound too simple?

We’ve already seen this work ...

The Studio is built from the #IPAINTEDTHAT challenge -

a simple, free weekly painting challenge where everyone painted the same reference photo.

And something surprising happened:

👉 people actually showed up
👉 they painted more consistently
👉 and they improved - without even trying!

The Studio takes that same idea…

…and builds on it in a more supportive, sustainable way.

But The Studio doesn't just provide weekly prompts ...

But The Studio doesn't just provide weekly prompts ...

What's inside The Studio:

Monthly live paint-along sessions

A live, guided watercolor landscape each month.

You show up, paint with me, and actually finish something - with space for questions if you need help.

If you're an experienced painter, you'll still have fun painting along with us in community!

Weekly Studio Challenge

A simple weekly reference photo + nudge to guide your focus.

So you always know what to paint - and can show up more consistently.

Every week, you'll get a new reference photo on Monday and you'll share it by Sunday (or whenever you finish it)!

No pressure. No falling behind.

Community Space

This is where the magic happens.

You can share your work, ask questions, and see how others approach the same painting.

From feedback and encouragement to new ideas (and even the occasional paint-together or meetup) - this is where the Studio comes to life.

We're in this together!

Quarterly Creative Sessions

Occasional sessions, community-voted, focused on things like:

  • Finding your style
  • Building a painting habit
  • Creative exploration
  • Reviewing artwork

A space to step back, reflect on your work, and grow as an artist - beyond just the weekly paintings.

So whether you paint every week…

or just when you can…

👉 you always have a simple way to return to your practice

And that’s what makes the difference.

💬From the Community

This started as a simple weekly painting practice called the #ipaintedthat challenge. I asked the painters who showed up consistently what it was like for them…

Here’s what they said:

The Studio is a non-AI, human-generated, heart-led community.

Off social media

So you can focus on creating - not scrolling. Feel free to share what you paint on social media - but the community will be hosted off social media.

Built-in support

With live paint-alongs and shared learning.

Real community

Where you grow alongside other artists.

You don’t need to become a “better artist” overnight.

You just need a place to keep showing up.

Hi, I’m Juliene!

I’m a color educator and landscape watercolorist - and my goal is simple:

👉 to help you paint more… and paint better.

Why? Because I’ve experienced firsthand what painting can do.

It’s helped me work through hard seasons.
It’s improved my mental health.
It’s given me something to be proud of - and a way to grow.

And I’ve seen that same thing happen for so many other people, too!

Back in 2018, after years of creating large-scale acrylic paintings,
I switched things up and fell in love with watercolor landscapes.

They gave me something new:

🎨 the ability to travel with my supplies
🎨 to paint my surroundings and experiences
🎨 and most importantly - to paint more often

Then, in 2024, I had a simple idea:

Start a challenge where we all painted the same reference photo… and shared our work.

Honestly, it started as something for me - a way to stay consistent in my own practice.

But something unexpected happened ...

They started painting consistently and they started improving! And even more than that…

🌟 they started connecting
🌟 encouraging each other
🌟 making friends through their art

What started as a simple idea turned into something really special.

Over time, though, the free challenge became harder to sustain -and I realized I wanted something more. And so did the challenge members.

Not just a place to post…but a space where we could:

👉 connect more deeply
👉 share ideas and creativity
👉 and explore watercolor landscapes together in a more meaningful way

That’s how The Studio came to be.

It’s a continuation of everything that worked - but in a more supportive, intentional space.

And I’m really glad you’re here ❤️
